0-2 Year Olds

Parents must provide their child's milk, baby foods, nappies, wipes and creams.

Age of Admittance

We welcome children from 6 weeks to 5 years in the nursery.


Full-time = 5 days 8.00am – 5.30pm
Full Day =   8.00am – 5.30pm
Sessional =   8.00am – 12.30pm
1.00pm – 5.30pm

Children must be registered for a minimum of 2 sessions per week (either two breakfast/after school). Additional day care is available for a 7.30am start or 6.00pm finish. This will be subject to an additional charge.


Fees must be paid one month in advance on the first day of the month.

Fees are payable by internet banking of telephone banking.
Cash or Cheque payments will incur a 5% Handling Fee
A £10 administration fee will be charged on a weekly basis for any late payments.

Holidays and Absences

The nursery will be closed for one week at Christmas and Bank Holidays. Monthly fees are calculated taking these periods into account. There are no visible reductions during these times.
There is an entitlement of four weeks holidays per year with a reduction in fees of 50% during holidays.


Children who have, or develop, an infectious illness must be excluded from the nursery. This is in the best interest of the child and the other children and complies with regulations set out by the Environmental Health Department.

Sickness or absence from nursery does not qualify for a reduction in fees.


One month's written notice, by either party, is required to terminate your child's place, or one month's fees in lieu of notice.
Your child's fees are still payable for the month's notice even if they do not attend the nursery.

Clothing and Personal Items

Parents should supply sufficient clothing for their child's daily needs and a spare set of clothes in case of accidents. The nursery cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal items.

Sun cream and sun hats must be provided in the summer months. During winter months we require you to provide suitable footwear, water proof coats etc as outdoor play is encouraged throughout the year.

Family Discounts

Where two or more children from one family attend the nursery for three days or more per week, the oldest child or children (if more than two siblings attend will be eligible for a 10% discount from their monthly fees)

Car Parking

There are designated parking bays in the nursery car park for dropping off and collecting children. If these bays are full please ensure that you park you car carefully. Under no circumstances should any car be left parked in an unsuitable manner that will cause danger to children or to the general public.

"Us" means "Buttercup Nurseries" as defined elsewhere on this website.
"Customer" means anyone who requests services from us and has entered in a contract with us.
"Contract" means the contract between us and the customer covering the supply of services by us to the customer.

Personal Data Collected (Part 1)

The following customer data is collected by us as part of the formation of a contract between our customers and us and is necessary for us to enter into said contract with the customer. In addition, some of this data is also collected each time customers request services from us (either via our web site or via written purchase orders):

  • The customer's full name.
  • The customer's email address.

What the above information is used for:
The information collected above is used solely to implement our contract with the customer (Setting up of an account with us, supplying of goods by us and the issuing of invoices by us) and is not disclosed to any third party or used for any other purpose.

Where the above information is kept:
The above information is maintained on an electronic database used solely by us and only available to us.

Personal Data Collected (Part 2)

The following information is logged by our web and mail servers when customers contact us by these means:

  • The internet protocol address (IP address) of the computer used to send the request.
  • The version of web browser and the computer operating system used to send the request.
  • The email address of the requestee.

What the above information is used for:
The information collected above is used solely for the purposes of implementing the contract between us and the customer, monitoring web and mail usage and the diagnosing and rectifying of problems that may occur.

Where the above information is kept:
The above information is maintained on the server logs and is used solely by us and only available to us and our technical team.

Any customer wishing to obtain a copy of the information about them held by us should contact us (in writing) asking for the information. A charge of £10 sterling is levied for each request.
